I find glasses to be much more sexy than a barbed wire tattoo ever will be. Maybe it’s because I find it alluring that the girl looses herself in books so much that she’s read herself to astigmatism or maybe it’s because I don’t like hepatitis. I don’t know, but it’s just one of those things.

Would it be a fetish? Perhaps in the US (see Kick Ass Pictures’ Specs Appeal), but definitely in In Japan. Women who meet my vision-impared criteria are called meganekko or, literally, glasses idol. That’s right — not only are there AV (porn) idols and gravure (figure) idols but a whole category of women that are known for wearing glasses.

Asian-sirens.com recently did a writeup on 19 year old Ami Tokito, one such meganekko. The kicker — she has perfect vision. She wears them just because.
